This photograph illustrates the Radio Station site circa 1980. The 150' masts can be seen in the foreground, the 'E' shaped Hostel wing, the crucifix shaped radio station and the two cooling ponds (black) which originally were used to cool the radio transmitters. The power house (D building) at the centre right edge of the photograph held the two Lister Blackstone diesel generators which ran the site in the event of a power failure.
