Daffodils for Leafield – Thank You!!!

A VERY big thank you to the 36 volunteers who turned out on Sunday, Oct 7th, to plant 2,500+ daffodils.

We planted the native daffodil (the Narcissi Pseudonarcissus) in all areas around the village apart from the green and the church where we planted the Golden Harvest daffodil, to match what was already there. The native daffodil is smaller and more gentle in appearance than the Golden Harvest, but given time it’s subtlety and gentle nature should shine through and dress our verges in the spring with a real treat.

Thank you also to all those who asked for free bulbs to plant in front of their homes. We look forward to the spring when hopefully all our hard work will be seen in full bloom!
