HandyPerson/Caretaker Required for Leafield Village Hall

Leafield Village Hall is looking for an experienced Handyperson/Caretaker to undertake upkeep and repair tasks to the interior and exterior of the Village Hall, on an adhoc basis (likely to be a couple of hours per month but may be more).  We will rely on you to keep the hall in a good state of repair and in good working order.  This is a paid role, hourly rate to be agreed.

You must be well-organised with strong general repair skills. You should have a keen eye for detail and a good problem solving skills.  A physically capable individual who is flexible and has good communication skills. You will need to provide your own tools.

Tasks to include (but not exclusive):-

  • Fix internal, external and cupboard doors and drawers and change the locks if they are faulty
  • Carry out carpentry works as and when required
  • Repair electrical items/replace sockets & plugs etc
  • Repair plumbing appliances
  • Carry out flooring work
  • Troubleshoot general problems
  • Repair and replace general hardware
  • Remove stains, fill crevices and paint/decorate when necessary
