Leafield Big Art Competition
The walls of Leafield Village Hall offer a great opportunity to display artwork and photographs of Leafield. The purpose of the Leafield Big Art Competition is to put together a permanent exhibition of the environs of Leafield throughout the year, from contributions by Leafielders aged 4 – 104.
EVERYONE is invited to the Exhibition of entries
and Reception in the Hall: Wednesday 13th July, 2016
All entrants must be resident in Leafield.
Entry fee: Entry for school children (under 12) is free, including those not at Leafield Primary*. Entrants over the age of 12 years pay an entry fee of £5 per picture. Funds raised will go towards the framing of selected entries and the Village Hall.
* Leafield Primary School is a partner in this enterprise and will be organising ‘art’ activities leading to selection of entries to the Exhibition
Entry forms, one for each entry: download here (Art Competition Entry Form FINAL) and are also are available from: the Shop, the foyer of Leafield Village Hall, and the organisers – see below.
Entries can be of anywhere and anyone in the environs of Leafield, in pencil, pen or paint, or as a photograph: b&W or colour. Works can have been made at any time, not just for this event.
Each entrant can submit a maximum of three pictures, and each entry should fit into one of three categories: autumn, winter, spring/summer. See Entry forms for further specifications.
Submitted works will be displayed at the Exhibition/Reception on Wednesday 13th July, 2016, to which the whole village is invited. Everyone attending will be able to ‘vote’ for the pictures to be put on permanent exhibition in the Hall (about 20?). The Organising Committee reserves the right to withdraw any entry, whereby the entry fee will be refunded.
