Leafield Millennium Playground AppealIn the next two weeks one of our team will call to ask for your support with this worthwhile project. The appeals committee was formed in May 2000 to take forward the plan to create a new playground for the children of Leafield. We have the full backing of the Parish council. WHO ARE WE?Parents all with young children all living in Leafield. THE PLANTo provide an all new fenced in play area with 6-8 pieces of equipment designed for children under 10. WHY?The existing equipment is over 15 years old and does not comply with new tougher safety regulations that become law in 1999. THE SITEAdjacent to the playing field car park at the village hall end. THE COST £28,000!This sounds like a huge amount but we already hove £20,300 raised or promised which coves only £7,700 to find. WHY SO MUCH?New playgrounds must comply with the new safely standards that insist on expensive safety surfacing. All new equipment will be guaranteed for 10 years minimum. WHERE THE MONEY WILL COME FROM?
We feel confident that with further grants and local fundraising we can reach our target before the end of this year. Thank YOU for taking the time to rend this leaflet. For more information please contact any of the committee. Committee members:
